Wespy/Baron® Bursary Collaboration
Now in its third year, the Wespy/Baron® Bursary Collaboration proudly announces the opening of applications for 2026.
With deep roots in the community, Baron® Championship Rings remains committed to supporting local athletes and teams through meaningful investment and opportunity. Through the Leave No One Behind™ Foundation, Baron® will award two $2,500 bursaries, one to a male athlete and one to a female athlete from the Windsor–Essex area.
The bursaries will be presented at the annual Wespy Awards on April 21, 2026, celebrating athletic excellence, leadership, and impact both on and off the field.
Eligibility Requirements
Baron® LNOB™ Athletic Bursary Application Form Sample Criteria:
- $2,500.00 to a Female & Male Athlete from the Windsor-Essex Sporting Community
- Commitment to Sport: Describe your commitment to your sport, including training, competitions, and leadership roles.
- Athletic Achievements: Detail your most notable athletic achievements, awards, or recognitions.
- Academic Standing: Describe your academic standing, including honours, awards, or notable progress.
- Future Academic & Career Goals: Outline your post-secondary education plans and long-term career goals.
- Community Involvement: Explain how you contribute positively to your community outside of athletics and academics.
- Letter of Recommendation: Submit a recommendation from a teacher, coach, or community leader.
- Financial Challenges: Describe any financial challenges that affect your ability to pursue academic and athletic goals.
- Personal Statement – Use of Bursary Funds: Explain how the bursary funds will be used to support your academic, athletic, and personal development.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- The three (3) male and the top three (3) female applicants will be required to be available for an oral interview conducted via Google Hangouts, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams. During the interview, applicants will respond to additional questions from the Leave No One Behind™ Bursary Board. Flexible interview dates will be made available.

About The Leave No One Behind™ Initiative
Baron® has often realized that the scenarios athletes face during competition often have plenty in common with the situations they encounter daily. The ability to persevere during struggles or flourish when opportunity knocks allows sports to impart these, along with many other necessary qualities for athletes to navigate through life.
Baron®‘s Leave No One Behind™ Program works to foster collaborations, partnerships, and to have a significant impact in the sports-based sector. The Leave No One Behind™ Program was established for players, coaches, or entire organizations that may lack the means to fully participate in or celebrate their sport.
Every day, there are examples of individuals or teams that would have been sidelined if it weren’t for the generosity of coaches, parents, and other players who financially support league fees, uniforms, or even Championship Rings.
Baron® sought to alleviate this burden by creating the Leave No One Behind™ program and recently incorporated “Leave No One Behind™” as a Canadian Federal Not-for-profit corporation.
We are a team of passionate professionals who strive every day to inspire excellence and recognize greatness in the captivating world of sports. The deployment of the Leave No One Behind™ program aims to level the playing field and ensure every athlete and team receives the support they need.
Our program is about empowering people by “Paying It Forward” and generating a ripple effect from one athlete or team to the next. Sport builds character, increases confidence, and often teaches life lessons that extend well beyond the playing field.
Baron® and the LNOB™ will continue to share inspirational stories from the individuals and teams that this initiative can reach.
