At the heart of the ring lies a baseball diamond adorned with four additional red stones, representing the team’s four playoff triumphs, bringing the total to 79 stones. Dominating the center is the team’s iconic Howling Wolf logo, framed by the golden “Eastern League Champions” title.

The base of the ring is etched with the SeaWolves’ rallying cry, “HOWL YEAH!,” while the inside bears the team’s overall 2023 record and the inspirational phrase “CALM HEART BEAT.” This motivational message, shared by manager Gabe Alvarez, served to help players stay focused and composed amid the intensity of the playoffs.

2023 Eastern League Champions

June 7, 2024 — Baron® Championship Rings proudly present the Oficial 2023 Erie SeaWolves Eastern League Championship Ring.

The Erie SeaWolves are the 2023 Eastern League Champions! The SeaWolves defeated Binghamton Rumble Ponies in the Eastern Championship on September 26, 2023, making this the franchise’s first Eastern League Championship title. Erie SeaWolves’ manager Gabe Alvarez was named Eastern League Manager of the Year.

Erie showed resilience by overcoming challenges and securing victories throughout the playoffs.

In Game 2, Brant Hurter delivered an outstanding pitching performance, shutting down the Binghamton offense. Trei Cruz and Jake Holton led Erie’s offense with impressive hitting displays. Chris Meyers of Erie exhibited power with a multi-homer game in the semifinals.

Binghamton advanced to the finals on the back of Dominic Hamel’s dominant pitching. Jett Williams’ three-run home run was instrumental in Binghamton’s victory in the semifinals opener. In the semifinals opener, Brant Hurter’s strong pitching performance led Erie to victory.

The creation of the 2023 Erie SeaWolves Eastern League Championship Ring was a labour of love for team owner Fernando Aguirre. Reflecting on the journey, Aguirre shared, “We were so close to winning a Championship in 2022 that winning it in 2023 made it so much sweeter. Designing the Championship Ring became a full-time project for a few weeks.” Inspired by the Denver Nuggets’ Championship Ring, Aguirre decided to incorporate a unique element: “After reading a story about the Denver Nuggets Championship Ring which included a number of stones to reflect their wins, I decided that would be a very memorable thing to do and that’s where the idea to have 79 stones came from.”

Aguirre’s vision was clear: he wanted the ring to be a cherished memento for everyone associated with the 2023 team. “I wanted the 2023 Erie SeaWolves Championship Ring to be an item anyone associated with the 2023 team will cherish forever,” he said.

He emphasized that the rings symbolize more than just victory; they represent the team’s hard work and the community’s unity.

“And then we had to work with someone who was able to bring it to life. And that for us was Baron® Rings, Baron® Championship Rings. They have done some work for the Tigers before, they’ve done some work nationally; I know they’ve worked with the University of Alabama.”

He continued to reflect on past experiences that led them to know ideas they wanted to incorporate into the Championship Ring.

“[Baron® Championship Rings] did a phenomenal job of bringing our thoughts to life and ultimately they are in the business.

He acknowledged among the jewellery manufacturers, “Baron® was a great fit for us and they helped us navigate through the process and we ended up with something we love.”
