However, both celebrations share a common theme: expressing gratitude to parents for providing the cartridges and quarters needed to enjoy gaming. This was noted by IGN in “Is it Actually National Video Games Day?“
Today we honour the impact of video games on our lives, celebrate the creativity involved in their development, and recognize the exceptional skills and abilities of professional gamers.
