2014-15 and 2015-16
seasons
The Peoria Rivermen showcased their dominance by claiming the William B. Coffey Trophy as regular season Champions in both the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
2017-18
season
Furthermore, they solidified their status as a top team by winning the trophy again in the 2017-18 season, marking the third time in four years that they achieved this impressive feat.
2018-19
season
Additionally, the Rivermen continued their winning streak by capturing their second consecutive Coffey Trophy in the 2018-19 season.
2021-2022
season
Moving to the 2021-2022 season, after three previous appearances in the finals, the Rivermen made history by winning their first SPHL President’s Cup Championship.
This was particularly thrilling as they triumphed over the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs three games to one, culminating in a dramatic overtime goal by JM Piotrowski just 1:06 into Game 4.
2022-2023

For the 2023-2024 season, they further established their winning legacy by securing their second President’s Cup in just three seasons, successfully overcoming the Huntsville team two games to one in the finals.
- In addition to the Rivermen’s achievements, the SPHL experienced a record-breaking surge, surpassing one million fans in regular season attendance (1,149,410) for the second consecutive season.
- This impressive accomplishment shattered the previous league record set just a year earlier.

At the 2024-25 home opener, the Peoria Rivermen came together as the defending SPHL Champions, celebrating not only their accomplishments but also their 2023-2024 SPHL Championship Rings Ceremony and the raising of their Championship Banner.
Notably, Dave Eminian from the Journal Star captured the essence of the moment by asking a few Rivermen about their SPHL Championship Rings in an article titled “Emotional: Peoria Rivermen get championship rings and first win of title defense.”
Furthermore, it was recorded that an impressive 7,272 fans attended this Championship Ring Ceremony, marking the largest home-opening crowd during the Peoria franchise’s SPHL era and one of the largest in Peoria’s 43-year franchise history.
Additionally, retiring team members JM Piotrowski, Meirs Moore, and Mathew Rehding joined their teammates one last time in Carver Arena, as they proudly collected their custom SPHL Championship Rings made by Baron®.
This moment not only highlighted their individual journeys but also underscored the enduring spirit of the Rivermen.
The ceremony lasted about 12 minutes and was quite an event. It included captivating video highlights of the team’s remarkable Championship run.
Particularly, Rivermen co-owner Bart Rogers was present on the ice, excitedly waiting to present each player with a prestigious SPHL Championship Ring.
As the ceremony progressed, the last player to receive his custom Hockey Championship Ring was none other than captain and SPHL Playoff MVP 2024, Alec Hagaman.
He skated onto the ice, proudly carrying the President’s Cup.
After completing a quick lap, he presented the cup to Rogers, who then handed Hagaman his custom SPHL Championship Ring in a moment full of pride.

He noted with enthusiasm that the depiction of the retired captain Alec Hagaman was elegantly included in it.
This detail added a personal touch to the celebration, marking an unforgettable moment for everyone involved.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Championship Ring at the pro level that had a player on it,” Baer said.

Moreover, when Baer witnessed this remarkable scene, he felt a deep wave of emotion. He remarked that the entire ceremony was executed flawlessly.
