From the Stone Counts to the Smallest Engravings.
The 2025 Commissioners Cup Championship Ring is more than just a ring: it is a story told in White and Obsidian Durilium and gems, honoring a season and the city of Binghamton.
Ring Top: A Celebration of Victory
- The top of the ring showcases two cups, representing the franchise’s second championship in team history and consecutive titles in 2024 and 2025.
- The top of each cup is engraved with its championship year, while the bottom bears “607” and “BNG” as a nod to the city’s area code and call-sign abbreviation.
- Encircling the cups and Obsidian Durilium team logo are 49 white stones, marking the Black Bears’ regular-season win total.
- Between the words “Commissioners Cup” and “Champions” on each side, seven green stones symbolize each postseason win—14 in total, representing the 14 teams in the FPHL (seven in each division).
Shoulders of the Ring: Player Pride and Team Legacy
Left Shoulder:
- Each player’s name is displayed in the official jersey nameplate font, with their Championship-winning number below.
- The Captain, Tyson Kirkby, is distinguished with a “C” inside a banner.
Right Shoulder:
- The top edge features 10 stones for the season’s shutouts—six green for the regular season and four white for the postseason.
- Below, Championship banners and cups are each adorned with 18 white stones, celebrating both the franchise’s 18-game winning streak and 18 short-handed goals scored in the regular season.
- Centered are three white baguette stones, signifying the city of Binghamton’s third Professional Hockey Championship.
Removable Top Backside: A Banner of Greatness
- The underside of the removable section mirrors the Championship banner hanging above the home ice at Visions Veterans Memorial Arena.
- Twenty-four green stones line the edges to honor the team’s 24-game home winning streak to close the season.
- The engraved figure 142,524 commemorates the season’s record-breaking attendance.
- Ten white stones, arranged in ascending tiers, represent sellouts during the season—each tier signifying the number of home playoff wins in every year of the franchise’s history.
Ring Interior: Capturing the Moment
- Inside the ring, the engraved seating sections of Visions Veterans Memorial Arena encircle a sheet of ice with the Black Bears’ logo at the center.
- Five green stones mark the locations of each goal scored in the final Championship game, while a single white stone marks the exact spot where the Commissioners Cup was raised—preserving the defining moment in league history.
Wrapping
- The bezel is set with 56 white stones for the team’s total wins during the 2024–25 season.
- Along the bevel, 13 additional stones sit between “Binghamton” and “Back-to-Back.” Combined with the 135 stones on the removable top section, they total 148—matching the team’s regular-season goal differential.
Inside & Shank Engravings: Sealing the Legacy
- The interior engraving features the silhouette of the 2025 Playoff Logo alongside the results of each playoff round, with the date of the Championship-clinching game beneath.
- Flanking the design are two cups, commemorating the Black Bears as the first FPHL franchise to win consecutive titles.
- On the shank, the team’s rallying cry—“Run It Back”—is boldly inscribed, the motivation that fueled their repeat victory.
