Won It Our Way. Worn Forever.

The Story Behind the 2025 AFC Toronto Northern Super League Championship Ring
Sixteen wins in a season. Fifty-one points. Twelve straight weeks at the top of the table.

May 8, 2026, Toronto, ON — In 2025, AFC Toronto didn’t just compete in the Northern Super League‘s inaugural season. They set the standard for what this league could be. The youngest club in the NSL finished first overall, captured the first-ever Supporters’ Shield in league history, and did it all in their very first year of existence.

Such a journey deserves a ring that tells the entire story, and Baron® Championship Rings was proud to create it.

2025 AFC Toronto's Journey: Building Something From Nothing

AFC Toronto arrived in 2025 as a founding club in Canada’s new professional women’s soccer league. No history. No blueprint. No guarantees. Just a vision, a city behind them, and a team willing to do the work.

What followed was one of the most dominant debut seasons in Canadian women’s sport.

  • The club held first place in the NSL standings for 12 consecutive weeks.
  • Posted the league’s best record (16-6-3) and scored more goals than any other team.
  • AFC Toronto swept the individual awards: Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Midfielder of the Year, and Assists Leader.
  • Four players earned spots on the NSL Team of the Season.
  • In September 2025, AFC Toronto clinched the first-ever NSL Supporters’ Shield, awarded to the top regular-season club in the league.

In their inaugural season, as the league’s youngest team, they called their approach “Run It Our Way” and it worked.

The Ring: Every Detail Tells the Story

When Baron® Championship Rings partnered with AFC Toronto to design the Supporters’ Shield Championship Ring, the goal was simple: every element had to mean something.

The Front:

The patterned Supporters’ Shield, crafted in golden & white two-tone metals, is encrusted with brilliant stones and features AFC Toronto’s shield logo in textured glass enamel at its center.

Along the outer edges of the ring, the “Supporters’ Shield Champions” wordmarks are proudly displayed.

The Wrapping:

The outer edge is further adorned with individual golden players’ numbers, providing a unified representation of each team member. 51 red stones wrap the outside of the ring, representing the 51 points accumulated during the 2025 campaign.

The Left Shoulder:

The left shoulder serves as a tribute to the organization’s historic Inaugural Season title, prominently featuring the Northern Super League logo. The Championship year is clearly marked beneath the logo, which is set atop a sophisticated AFC-branded pattern.

The Right Shoulder:

The right shoulder features the individual player’s name and a glass enamel-set number, both set against a backdrop inspired by the iconic Toronto skyline, rooting the achievement in the heart of the city.

The Engravings:

Inside Engraving: The interior of the ring is engraved with the team’s final season record of 16-6-3, serving as a permanent reminder of their dominant performance.

Shank Engraving: Additionally, the team’s defining mantra, “Run It Our Way,” which captures the very essence of their drive and unique identity, is stamped with precision on the shank.

"The team rings are here, and they are BEAUTIFUL! From top-shelf partnership servicing to creating the most beautiful ring itself, we appreciate everything the Baron® team has done to help us celebrate the inaugural Supporters Shield win."

Celebrating the 2025 AFC Toronto's Championship while lifting the Shield

On October 19, 2025, in front of their fans at York Lions Stadium, AFC Toronto completed their regular season campaign with a 2-1 win over Montreal Roses FC. Moments later, Captain Emma Regan raised the Supporters’ Shield as the team celebrated. The first-ever NSL regular season Champions.

This Championship moment is what Baron® Championship Rings is dedicated to honouring. A victory like this, being the first of its kind in a league’s inaugural season, deserves more than just a place in the record books. It deserves to be worn by the athletes and Champions who made it possible.

“Clinching the Supporters’ Shield in our first-ever season is an extraordinary milestone for this club and for women’s soccer in Toronto,” said Helena Ruken, AFC Toronto CEO, in AFC Toronto’s news (AFC Toronto Crowned Regular Season Champions).

“From the very beginning, our fans, players, and staff have built an incredible community, and this success is the result of our shared vision, commitment, and hard work.
