Inside the 5th CFL Ring That Brought the Grey Cup Back to Rider Nation
Five Championships. One Legacy. Inside the Latest Grey Cup Ring for Rider Nation.
May 31, 2026 — Twelve years is a long time to wait. The last time Rider Nation celebrated a Grey Cup, it was 2013. Kory Sheets was running through the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for 197 yards. The old Mosaic Stadium was packed to the rafters with 44,710 green-and-white faithful. It was electric, and it felt like it would never end.
“All you need is an opportunity. How bad do you want to be great?” Head Coach Corey Mace asked this while motivating the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the Grey Cup Championships.
Fast forward to November 16, 2025. Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg. Trevor Harris: 39 years old, completing 23 of 27 passes for 302 yards and an 85.2 percent completion rate. The highest in Grey Cup history, led the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a 25–17 victory over the Montreal Alouettes. Three rushing touchdowns. Three interceptions.
A fumble forced at the goal line with under three minutes to play. As Davis Alexander’s final Hail Mary soared through the air and ultimately fell incomplete in the end zone, Rider Nation didn’t simply exhale; they flared in a tidal wave of emotion.
“It’s Saskatchewan time.”
The Saskatchewan Roughriders were Grey Cup Champions for the fifth time in franchise history. Head coach Corey Mace said it best in the locker room: “We knew this was exactly who we expected to be. And we are indeed that.”
A ring like this one doesn’t just commemorate a Championship. It carries the whole story.
“It’s our time.”

Commemorating Saskatchewan’s 5th Grey Cup: The 2025 Championship Ring
Baron® Championship Rings was chosen to craft the official 112th Grey Cup Championship Ring for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Every ring detail was built to honour the Journey that brought this team back to the top of Canadian football.
Front:
- The striking, football-shaped removable top is fully encrusted and features the primary logo, highlighted by 14 green baguette stones, each representing a victory from the season.
- The 112th Grey Cup Trophy is set with five stones, symbolizing each Championship secured by the organization.
Wrapping:
The outer edge is adorned with the Grey Cup Champions wordmark, seamlessly wrapped with the team name below, while the band proudly carries “Rider Nation” a tribute to the unwavering provincial fan base and a belief that success is shared, never achieved alone.
Shoulders:
- The right shoulder showcases the player’s name and stone-set number over a prairie-inspired backdrop.
- While the left shoulder honours the organization’s five Grey Cup titles, marked beneath each Championship Year.
Snap & Reveal Feature:
- Inside, the ring houses an authentic piece of the Grey Cup game ball, paired with precision laser-engraved tick marks inspired by the wooden piece that hangs in the tunnel leading out to the field.
- Sourced from a Saskatchewan mine, the wood became a symbol of the team’s journey, with a branded tick added after each victory.
- That 1–0 mindset is further reinforced through the SaskTel Maxtron, while the entire detail is framed by the years of the franchise’s five Grey Cup Championships.
Engraving:
The interior is engraved with the final score alongside the team’s Championship mantra, capturing the essence of their journey, unity, and an unbreakable bond between team and Rider Nation.

Breaking Down the 5th CFL Grey Cup Ring in Saskatchewan Roughriders History
In a recent Saskatchewan Roughriders press release, Baron® President Drina Baron-Zinyk expressed her insights on the matter: “This ring represents far more than a Championship. It tells the story of resilience, unity, pride, and tradition. Every detail was intentionally designed to honour the journey of the players, coaches, staff, and an entire fanbase that stood behind this team every step of the way.”
A Championship Ring is designed to do more than signify a team moment; it embodies the entire Journey.
In 20 years, when a Roughrider pulls this custom Grey Cup Championship Ring out and snaps that top open, they will see much more than just a piece of jewelry. They’ll feel November 16, 2025. They’ll hear Rider Nation. They’ll remember exactly what it cost to get there, and exactly what it felt like when they finally did.
This is the standard set by Baron®. Your Journey. Your Moment. Your Legacy.

The ring was custom-designed by Baron® Championship Rings to tell the specific story of this team’s Championship season from the inside out. The football-shaped removable top (called the Snap and Reveal feature by Baron® Championship Rings) features 14 green baguette stones representing each victory of the season. While the Snap & Reveal interior houses an authentic piece of the 112th Grey Cup game ball: the actual ball from the night the Roughriders defeated the Montreal Alouettes 25–17 in Winnipeg. Paired with precision laser-engraved tick marks inspired by the wooden piece hanging in the tunnel at Mosaic Stadium, every detail connects back to the Journey that ended a 12-year Championship drought.
What do the five stones on the Grey Cup Trophy represent?
