Baron® Championship Rings Selected to Craft the Historic Third Consecutive Championship Ring for Binghamton Black Bears

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 6, 2026, BINGHAMTON, N.Y.
 — History has a new standard in the Federal Prospects Hockey League.

The Binghamton Black Bears captured their third consecutive Commissioner’s Cup, defeating the Pee Dee IceCats 4–2 in the Championship-clinching Game 4 at Visions Veterans Memorial Arena and becoming the first franchise in FPHL history to complete a Championship three times in a row.

To commemorate an achievement without precedent in FPHL history, Baron® Championship Rings has once again been selected to craft the Official Championship Rings for the Binghamton Black Bears.

“Having our third consecutive Ring Ceremony is incredible. It’s a great night to reward the team’s hard work and show our new players what it means to be a Black Bear. Seeing everyone’s reaction when opening their rings together is priceless, and Baron®’s presentation reflecting on our journey is always a highlight. This Ceremony demonstrates what we’ve accomplished together one last time before we turn our focus toward the next one,” said by the Head Coach Brant Sherwood.

Ring Details: The Story Behind Binghamton's Dynasty

  •  Underneath reads “BLACK BEARS” in the team’s official wordmark

Ring Base (Inside)

  •  Depicted on the interior is an aerial view engraving of the exact design of the center ice from the final game of the Championship series

Left Shoulder

  •  The font used for the player’s name and number is the same as it appeared on their jerseys when they won the Championship

Inner Band Exterior

  • The exterior engravings begin with the organization’s season-long slogan “Bear Witness,” centered in the ring shank position
  • Reading left to right are the opponents from each postseason round, with the series results stylized in the ribbon from the official playoff logo. Each team name is “crossed off” with a different slash from the team’s official clawmark icon
  • A single rectangular green stone locks the band into the ring base and breaks up the name of the only team from this Championship run that was defeated in a prior one

Inner Band Interior

  • Engraved is a saying from the team’s captain, which kicked off the postgame festivities for each Championship celebration, along with a scannable song code

Misc

  • All exterior stone counts add up to 143, representing the team’s points in the 2025-26 regular season standings

“There are Championships, and then there are achievements that redefine what is possible. What the Binghamton Black Bears have accomplished with three consecutive Commissioner’s Cups belongs in that second category,” said Drina Baron-Zinyk, President of Baron® Championship Rings.

“We are glad to work again with the Championship caliber-level team at Baron®. They help us continue to tell the story behind the 2025-26 season. After three-straight Championships, this ring represents something that had never been done before in the FPHL. Each year we have dared Baron® to go bigger, bolder, and more unique… Once again, they have delivered something nobody could have imagined for minor league hockey. We are glad that Baron® could create something worthy of this Milestone,” from the Black Bears Organization.

For the Black Bears, selecting Baron® again continues a Championship partnership built around translating each season’s unique story into a lasting piece of history.

“When you win one Championship, it’s a milestone; when you win three straight, it’s a dynasty. That doesn’t happen by accident; it’s the result of the culture we’ve built, the work ethic in this locker room, and the commitment every single person has made to each other. Baron® understands what these rings mean to us, and the craftsmanship they bring to each one tells the complete story of our three consecutive Championships in a way that’s truly unforgettable,” says Assistant Captain Jesse Anderson.
