The Spurs were able to avenge their tough loss in 7 games from the year prior.

After all, beating the Miami Heat in what was their 4th straight season in the NBA Finals.

Kawhi Leonard carried the Spurs to another title.

The San Antonio Spurs Championship Ring was the first for the franchise since 2007. Coupled with the 5th in the history of the San Antonio Spurs.

This was seen as a passing of the torch for the Spurs as well. Kawhi Leonard carried the SA Spurs to another title.
